1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Fleynex ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use our website, applications and services (the "Platform"). It applies to students, teachers and education companies. Please also read our Terms & Conditions.

4. How we use your data
We use personal data to:
- Create and manage your account and verify your email address.
- Operate the marketplace — show listings, deliver lesson requests, and enable messaging between users.
- Process payments and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Provide support, send service notifications and, where permitted, marketing you can opt out of.
- Improve and secure the Platform and comply with legal obligations.
5. Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the Platform), your consent (for example, optional marketing), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve our services), and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
6. Sharing & disclosure
We share personal data only as needed:
- With other users: when you interact (e.g. a teacher or company you message, or who responds to your lesson request), relevant profile information is shared to enable the service.
- With service providers: hosting, email, analytics and payment processors acting on our instructions.
- For legal reasons: to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal data.
7. Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your language preference, and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
8. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, then for any period required to comply with legal, accounting or reporting obligations or to resolve disputes. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymised.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and request a copy.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].
10. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) as required by applicable law.
11. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children's privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under the age required to consent in their jurisdiction. A minor may only use the Platform under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has provided us personal data without consent, contact us so we can remove it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
